TDM #2

TDM #2
NAVIGATION

Evocate is a teamnesia-inspired game where relationship building and strengthening already existing bonds are just as important as fighting to keep your memories and figuring out just what the heck is going on in this strange world.

Please feel free to look at the information posted already and ask questions you're curious about on the FAQ! But most importantly, have some fun with some of the things that'll become normal to you in the Domed City.

Welcome to Domed City #77, a place you'll become very familiar with as it's now where you'll live out the rest of your days while waiting for the Evocated to drain you of your memories. Sounds great, right?

When you open your eyes, you find yourself laying in a bright white room, reminiscent of a hospital room. In fact, as you sit up and look around, you see other beds - hospital beds. Some made neatly, others a mess, and one that has a suspicious stain on it which is probably fine.

How did you get here? Where are you? All important questions you're likely asking yourself!

As you stand up, you feel something brush against your neck. You find a necklace with a small, round pendant attached to it. Turning it over reveals that something has been etched into the other side. You can't read it, but instinctively you know that it's your name! Which is why, no matter what you try, you can't remove it.

But speaking of your name - perhaps you figure it out instantly, or perhaps you won't until later - but you know and feel that something is missing. An important part of you that has been taken. If you have multiple names or nicknames, then those that hold a deep meaning have been taken as well if you so wish.

Stepping out into the hallway reveals a myriad of different signs, all guiding you towards the exit. They're cheerful, written in crayon and with cute little doodles.

Through the glass doors you go, something beeping as you do, and you step out into the street of a small city.

There may be others stepping out with you at the same time too! Weird, right?

If you were injured - or dead - in some way at the point you're being taken from, then your wounds have been healed up to 50%.

A. THE HOTEL
The Hotel is hard to miss, considering it's right across from the small hospital you wake up in. There might even be people coming and going.

Should you step inside, the hotel lobby has a new addition to it!

It's an artistic WELCOME MEMOIRS sign done all in crayon, provided by your lovely reception desk kids. Maybe they're considered receptionists by now? Either way, if you're new and the girl spots you, she'll cheerfully skip over to hand you a brochure.

You look new! Welcome to the Hotel, hopefully this answers all of your questions!

Spoilers: it will not answer all of your questions. But it will give you a nice rundown of what the Hotel has to offer.

B. COMMUNICATION
Did you know that the Domed City has it's very own chat room? Well you do now, because you receive an automatic invite to it on your brand new phone. And look, it's active!

Hello???

Does anyone have any decent "memes"?

C. THE CITY
Sooner or later you'll be told not to go out into the city by yourself. Good advice, right?

Well, maybe you don't listen. Understandable, the city is good at tempting stupidity exploration! So step on out there!

If you reach less explored areas, it'll like walking into a faint mist; but the air feels stale at first, like it's been still for a long time. The wind seems to follow you, pushing the stale air away from you and it sounds -

It almost sounds like someone is breathing out, a sigh that joins the wind ruffling your clothes.

All along the main street are different types of shops and boutiques. There's the Bad Word Bar as well, if you want to go drink away your new problem!

North past the park are commercial buildings and factories, a once bustling business district. The supermarket is located here, stocked and ready to accept customers! Even if there isn't anyone to check you out. Hey, how are you gonna pay for that? There's also a police station in that direction, but be careful - there's monsters still swarming around it.

East from the park the city opens up into something more rural, meadows on either side of the road with flowers slowly blooming, as though your arrival has given them life. Further ahead is a forest . . . that does not look as welcoming as the flowers are. An uneasy feeling blooms in you the closer you get. You can't see too far in, but the flowers along the road here begin to wilt, like your presence alone is killing them. The flowering district can't seem to make up its mind whether to welcome or reject you.

West, the businesses thin out until you hit a set of apartment buildings on either side of the road. Further on, you start seeing houses and condos as you enter the residential district. None of the doors are open, but maybe you'll be lucky and find a window that might be unlocked . . . ?

But be careful; you were warned away from these parts for a reason.

And then, there's the park itself. Perfectly manicured grass and flowers, all kept that way by - well, no one knows. But there's plenty of space to walk and sit or even picnic if you want to.

Just ignore the faint ticking noise.

D. FESTIVAL
It looks like the city has been anticipating your arrival, because there are a bunch of food stands lining the street in front of the Hotel today!

There's a hot dog stand, a takoyaki stand, another stand making cotton candy and funnel cake - and even a stand or two that might be making a treat from YOUR world too!

However, they aren't free; each one has a sign in front of it, which reads as follows:

Share a fact about yourself to get a treat!

Seems simple enough! But it must be a true fact. And if you try to steal from the stand, not only will you come away empty-handed, but you will be forced to wear a pet-shaming sign for thirty minutes.

There's also a couple of carnival games around too, advertising the same thing. So go have some fun! You might even see Kenny, the local nightguard(?!) sneaking to one of the carts to get a quick snack!

E. WILDCARD
Were you foolish enough to go out into the city and got yourself injured? Well, check out the spa and bring a new friend! You'll need them to get healed back up.

Or maybe you've found something else to do. The city has all sorts of secrets to discover and explore and new friends for you to meet! Feel free to come up with your own prompts!

Thank you so much for your interest in the game! The TDM is considered game canon, so feel free to carry it over! But most importantly, I hope you have fun!!

[o hi]

â€ĶI suppose that makes sense, given appears to be made of little more than sugar from what I can see.

[personal profile] presgarddihellis 2026-03-06 07:17 pm (UTC)(link)
That's exactly it. Heated and spin sugar. With colors and flavorings.
vinzieks: (🍷 053)

[personal profile] vinzieks 2026-03-06 07:21 pm (UTC)(link)
I see.

[ ... ]

How interesting.

Not a sweet tooth?
vinzieks: (🍷 024)

[personal profile] vinzieks 2026-03-06 07:25 pm (UTC)(link)
On the contrary, I am quite fond of the sweeter vintages.

[But that's wine, Reaper.]

This is not the same, but I am... somewhat curious.
presgarddihellis: (51)

[personal profile] presgarddihellis 2026-03-06 07:31 pm (UTC)(link)
It's hardly wine.

[amused]

But the reluctance is what's required to purchase it?
vinzieks: (🍷 009)

[personal profile] vinzieks 2026-03-06 07:43 pm (UTC)(link)
That, and for a grown man to be indulging in such a childish thing...
presgarddihellis: (40)

[personal profile] presgarddihellis 2026-03-06 07:51 pm (UTC)(link)
What's wrong with a little bit indulging in one's inner child?
vinzieks: (🍷 046)

[personal profile] vinzieks 2026-03-06 07:56 pm (UTC)(link)
[look at this man

does he look like he has an inner child anymore]

It forms an ill impression.
presgarddihellis: (13)

[personal profile] presgarddihellis 2026-03-06 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
[everyone has an inner child. his has clearly been neglected.]

Not around the right people.
vinzieks: (🍷 027)

[personal profile] vinzieks 2026-03-06 08:14 pm (UTC)(link)
[He is trying to make this argument to a formal Victorian man.]

"Right" people... [Sure, he can see a man like Herlock Sholmes walking around with a big puff of cotton candy, but anyone else?] Well, it hardly matters. Were you interested in any?
presgarddihellis: (50)

[personal profile] presgarddihellis 2026-03-06 08:19 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't say no to some.
vinzieks: (🍷 016)

[personal profile] vinzieks 2026-03-06 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Then by all means...

[He gestures at the machine. You can go first!]
presgarddihellis: (01)

[personal profile] presgarddihellis 2026-03-06 08:47 pm (UTC)(link)
A fact about myself...

[hm... considers for a moment.]

... I grew up in the slums because my father died in war and my mother died of illness.

[COTTON CANDY IS HIS NOW. WHAT LUXURY!]
vinzieks: (🍷 010)

[personal profile] vinzieks 2026-03-06 09:17 pm (UTC)(link)
[THE COTTON CANDY IS HIS but my guy that was sure a fact about yourself,]

You did not have to offer that much, surely.
presgarddihellis: (72)

[personal profile] presgarddihellis 2026-03-06 09:21 pm (UTC)(link)
It is not much to recall where it is I come from when this place is determined to erase it.

[pulls off a piece of cotton candy to offer to him.]
vinzieks: (🍷 012)

[personal profile] vinzieks 2026-03-06 09:34 pm (UTC)(link)
[He... takes it, gingerly, looking it over. How fluffy.]

Even all the bad?

[He already knows the answer to that, even as he asks it.]
presgarddihellis: (47)

[personal profile] presgarddihellis 2026-03-06 09:44 pm (UTC)(link)
Without the bad, would the good be so good?

Even if I lost my parents, I still had my brother and sister. And they're doing quite well.

[casually passing over the cotton candy stick so he can get another treat]
vinzieks: (🍷 052)

[personal profile] vinzieks 2026-03-06 11:47 pm (UTC)(link)
[He cannot argue that, certainly.

Though he does take the stick with his free hand nigh automatically, very ??? about it. He hasn't even tasted his own little sample.]

That is good to hear. Family is... important.
presgarddihellis: (^ 33)

[personal profile] presgarddihellis 2026-03-07 12:06 am (UTC)(link)
It is.

[said with a smile as he gets... a meat pie. specifically: DESI BAY MEAT PIE.]
vinzieks: (🍷 066)

[personal profile] vinzieks 2026-03-07 06:33 pm (UTC)(link)
[Meat pie? Well, he is certainly familiar with that, being British and all. It is not nearly as strange as what he is holding in his hands, and he is brave enough to try the little piece torn off first.]

...

[Oh, that is sweet.

But again, He Is British and therefore also used to very sweet things. This isn't offensive to his tongue, funnily enough.]

There and gone.

[Is he talking about family or the cotton candy-]
presgarddihellis: (72)

[personal profile] presgarddihellis 2026-03-07 08:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Pretty nice, right?

[the candy, clearly.]
vinzieks: (🍷 022)

[personal profile] vinzieks 2026-03-07 09:31 pm (UTC)(link)
It is fine, I suppose.

Would you like it back when you are done with your pie?
presgarddihellis: (76)

[personal profile] presgarddihellis 2026-03-07 09:41 pm (UTC)(link)
That's alright. This pie is actually my favorite, so I'm fine with this.
