Being purposely vague about some stuff for spoiler reasons, BUT

For Vash, she is someone who is torn between human and nonhuman identities but strongly wants to be human. She and Venti could drink together and be sussy and mutually pretend not to be depressed. With Catra, I just think they would either hit it off amazingly or absolutely hate each other with almost no middle ground. Amana does have a track record of liking cat-coded girls, though.
