NAVIGATION
Evocate is a teamnesia-inspired game where relationship building and strengthening already existing bonds are just as important as fighting to keep your memories and figuring out just what the heck is going on in this strange world.
Please feel free to look at the information posted already and ask questions you're curious about on the FAQ! But most importantly, have some fun with some of the things that'll become normal to you in the Domed City.
Welcome to Domed City #77, a place you'll become very familiar with as it's now where you'll live out the rest of your days while waiting for the Evocated to drain you of your memories. Sounds great, right?
A: ARRIVAL
When you open your eyes, you find yourself laying in a bright white room, reminiscent of a hospital room. In fact, as you sit up and look around, you see other beds - hospital beds. Some made neatly, others a mess, and one that has a suspicious stain on it which is probably fine.
How did you get here? Where are you? All important questions you're likely asking yourself!
As you stand up, you feel something brush against your neck. You find a necklace with a small, round pendant attached to it. Turning it over reveals that your name has been etched into the other side. It's yours! Which is why, no matter what you try, you can't remove it.
Stepping out into the hallway reveals a myriad of different signs, all guiding you towards the exit. They're cheerful, written in crayon and with cute little doodles.
Through the glass doors you go, something beeping as you do, and you step out into the street of a small city.
There may be others stepping out with you at the same time too! Weird, right?
If you were injured - or dead - in some way at the point you're being taken from, then your wounds have been healed up to 50%.
B. THE HOTEL
At one point during the day, you all end up in the hotel lobby like you've been compelled to go there. A gentle compulsion, almost apologetic.
The hotel itself is old-fashioned with modern highlights, and it appears to have been renovated and set up for you and all of your new friends to live in! Isn't that great?
Once everyone has gathered, there's a loud crack of thunder and above you, a portal opens up and spits out a young woman. She lands with a yelp and whines, rubbing her hip.
![]()
You could have WARNED me!!
A pause. She lets out a little squeak and scrambles to her feet when she sees everyone.
![]()
oh geez they didn't say you were here already H-Hi! And welcome to Domed City #77! We um, we don't call it using the numbers but I would think people would want to know them anyway!![]()
Err, right, you probably want to know what's going on. Which is a really good question! The, er, people in charge gave me something to read to you that might answer it.
She clears her throat and takes on a more announcing tone of voice as she pulls a piece of paper from her pocket to read.
"Welcome and rejoice, little memoirs, for you have been given the honor of offering your memories to our great entity, the Evocated. We thank you for your sacrifi-" EH?!![]()
![]()
N-Now wait just a minute, this doesn't expl—
Another crack of thunder interrupts her and the portal returns, only this time it's underneath her. Her protests turn into a scream as she falls in, then cut off as the portal closes back up and innocently disappears.
Sometime between her appearance and disappearance, two more people have appeared behind the welcome desk. They appear to be working on . . . pamphlets? The teen girl gives you a cheerful little wave, like nothing weird just happened at all.
![]()
Welcome to Hotel - umm, it doesn't have a name yet, but we're working on it! And taking suggestions!
That woman will be back soon, so give it some time and she'll have more information with her.![]()
They seem pretty calm about it, so it must be fine!
The girl tells you that you're welcome to explore the hotel while you wait. Only the first floor is open for exploration right now, but there's plenty to see! And it does seem like it's been prepared for you, everything is clean and tidy, just as one would expect from a fancy-looking place like this.
The young man nods in agreement, then speaks up again.
< isopods >
You'll want to acquaint yourself with the main street too. But whatever you do, don't go further than the park up north.![]()
C. EXPLORATION
So, you decided to go further than the park up north.
It's like walking into a faint mist; but the air feels stale at first, like it's been still for a long time. The wind seems to follow you, pushing the stale air away from you and it sounds -
It almost sounds like someone is breathing out, a sigh that joins the wind ruffling your clothes.
North past the park are commercial buildings and factories, a once bustling business district. The supermarket is located here, stocked and ready to accept customers! Even if there isn't anyone to check you out. Hey, how are you gonna pay for that?
East from the park the city opens up into something more rural, meadows on either side of the road with flowers slowly blooming, as though your arrival has given them life. Further ahead is a forest . . . that does not look as welcoming as the flowers are. An uneasy feeling blooms in you the closer you get. You can't see too far in, but the flowers along the road here begin to wilt, like your presence alone is killing them. The flowering district can't seem to make up its mind whether to welcome or reject you.
West, the businesses thin out until you hit a set of apartment buildings on either side of the road. Further on, you start seeing houses and condos as you enter the residential district. None of the doors are open, but maybe you'll be lucky and find a window that might be unlocked . . . ?
But be careful; you were warned away from these parts for a reason.
D. WILDCARD
If you were foolish enough to run into what lurks out there, or you simply need healing because you came in a mess, then you have two options:
- One, you can reenter the hospital and search for supplies. More than one person can enter at once, so it seems like only your first exit is solo.
- Or two, you can figure out how to open the doors behind the welcome desk in the hotel. If you look bad the girl will gasp and point you there, but - well, how do you unlock the doors? You'll have to figure it out, but the girl offering to hold your hand might be a hint.
Or maybe you simply want to do something else entirely. Feel free to come up with your own prompts!
Some quick notes:
I'll start accepting applications on November 15, while the game is set to open up on November 28.

Majima Goro (Sheep PGAU)
[ When Majima steps out, he immediately narrows his eye and looks around, fingers twitching as he grabs for his dagger, unsheathing it. ]
'Kay. Right. Anyone wanna get to explainin'? Or do I gotta carve it outta someone's hide, eh?
B.
[ He gives the pamphlet maybe a five second onceover before immediately crumpling it up and tossing it over his shoulder. Then, raising his voice: ]
Yooooo. Anyone wanna go explorin' an' scavenge some shit? Could be fun! Or funny. Or hell, both.

Who the fuck do I gotta punch t'get sent back?
b.
[demanding answers from the two at the desk gets him nothing - especially because he backs off when the girl starts hiding behind the young man because he's being "too scary". So instead, he's reluctantly looking around the hotel.

The Fool Klein Moretti (7 Horrors PGAU)
[this was not where Klein was expecting to wake next. and he certainly wasn't expecting to have a pendant around his neck that just straight up proclaims:
The Fool Klein Moretti
and he certainly does try his BEST to TAKE IT OFF because he sure has spent like three months in a place where it is VERY INADVISABLE TO HAVE NAMES ON DISPLAY.]
C.
[Later, still clutching onto the pendant a little even if people have assured him it's okay to have names out and about, he's stepping out of the hotel in a manner of a man who thinks he's a bit in a dream.
... it's just... it's been a while. since he's really and truly physically was in a space with modern buildings laid out like this. though the feeling of stale air and of the mists pressing in isn't completely unfamiliar to him either.]

Dimitri Alexandre Blaiddyd voicetest???
[a grim spectre plods out of the hospital - hunched over, unwashed and reeking, his presence made more beastly by the dire wolf pelt over his shoulders. not to mention splattered with blood. it still drips from him, leaving a red trail wherever he goes. actually it… might be from a still open wound, which he is not paying attention to.
as if in a daze, he looks around at the surrounding city. his voice is sandpaper rough, like he’s unused to speech.]
…I thought hell would be warmer.
B
[through that whole hotel spiel, the grim man gave no indication that any of it was reaching him. he was staring forward, expression unchanging - either unaffected or uncomprehending. (honestly he might still be bleeding at this point.)
but once it was all done, an uncanny smile spreads over his face.]
I see… this is but the first step. A little further, into true oblivion.

Brant (Wuthering Waves)
[ He's paying close attention to the explanation - or whatever little of it they end up getting, anyway. Between Doomed City 77 and offering your memories there is plenty to be worried about, and the girl disappearing only reinforces it no matter what the other staffers say.
But that's all the more reason to try and lifts spirits up. At some point after all that, he's going to clap his hands and demand people's attention. ]
All eyes on me, my friends—!
[ There is a suitably dramatic pause before he stretches his arm out, looking to the horizon but at one in particular - like he's on a stage and putting on a performance. Which, judging by his style of clothing and his dramatic gestures, seems to be exactly what he's going for ]
Today, we stand on an unknown and mysterious path! The road ahead is uncharted, and the steps we have to take upon it are uncertain. But do not give into fear, my friends, for together we shall surely prevail. Hold fast to every last ember of courage and bravery, and raise your voice and spirits to the heavens!
[ It's all said with very obvious theatrical tone. But then he laughs, offers a small bow to whoever's actually listening, and then winks ]
Or if that's not your style, shall we head outside the city? The best way to navigate uncharted waters is to explore them boldly.

She's instantly on edge as she steps out, before dragging her fingers along a wall and forming a sword out of seemingly nowhere. [Mariner is all buttoned up in her red and black uniform, and she's managing to keep her fidgeting to a minimum while the rundown is delivered.
Until the big reveal, at which point Mariner straightens up.]
Hang on. You can't have my memories, I'm using them. Well - I'm using most of them. Some, it's some of them.
Don't get caught up on that, important thing is some of those memories are classified. Some of my bosses get really snippy about that stuff.

Koharu (7H PGAU)
[ Though she's woken up, someone hasn't managed as far as leaving their room. Koharu lingers by the doorway, peering cautiously out into the hall; it appears empty, but a hand grips the wall with a slight tremble—even the wings on her back flutter with her nervousness. Should anyone pass through the hall, she'll slip out a small, startled yelp and retreat back into the room. ]
generally everything else.
[ Welp, what a morning! After the everything that's happened so far, Koharu is hovering around in the hotel lobby, looking out through the glass doors that lead outside. Overall, she appears hesitant. ]
... I wonder if it's really okay to go wandering out there...

[ feel free to notice this silver-haired teen
watching you like a hawkstealing shy glances at you. she's keeping her mouth shut for the most part. it's intel-gathering time.there's a half-healed burn mark on her cheek and her clothes are in tatters and she smells faintly of ash but none of these things appear to bother her ]
C.
[ aka people-watching session part 2. this time, she's perched on the supermarket's roof, casually observing whoever happens to pass by.
alternatively catch her on top of an apartment building doing the same thing. ]

Ichijiku Amana | Here Stands Gokumon Nadeshiko (7 Horrors PGAU)
[ Amana steps out of the hospital, pendant already tucked safely inside her clothes where no one can read her name.
As she surveys her surroundings, she mumbles to herself with no small amount of exhaustion in her voice: ]
Where have I ended up this time, hm?
B.
[ Soon after it becomes clear that more information is not currently forthcoming, Amana does in fact decide to start to exploring the hotel.
The moment she first sets eyes on the communal sleeping setup, she goes completely stone-faced. ]
Well, that's not happening.
B
[ The voice seems to be coming from the top part of a bunk bed, with some weird antler like twigs the only part peeking out. ]

Spamton - Deltarune (Weird Route)
[One of the people stumbling out is a very short man—or actually, isn't that a puppet?—who looks worse for wear. Not only does he look like a busted old doll, he looks like someone left him in the freezer overnight. His pink-and-yellow sunglasses and plastic body are cracked and covered in patches of frost, and he is currently pulling chunks of ice out of his hair.
He is also wincing in surprise and flinging an arm up to shield his eyes reflexively, when he sees the sun. After some blinking to adjust, he just... starts laughing. His voice is erratic, digitized, clipping as if his voice itself has poor audio quality.]
EHEHEHEAHEAHEAHEAHEAHAHA!! WELL ISNT THIS A, [Howdy] YOU DO. HEYEHEY HEY!! I HAVE NO [$%!*] CLUE WHERE I AM!!!
[yes his voice also includes the censorship beep]
[C. EXPLORATION]
[There is zero hesitation. As soon as he is told that they should not go further than the park up north, he is going further than the park up north. For a while, this is going great. He has some kind of sadistic glee about making these flowers wilt around him, even.
But then he's being attacked by one of those plastic dolls and this is PUPPET AGAINST PUPPET VIOLENCE HELP. He's still so half-frozen that he is totally blindsided by the attack, tackled to the ground.]
[Help]!!! THE HATERS ARE [stalker] ME NOW!!!!
[D. WILDCARD]
[After showing up messed up AND getting messed up by wandering away recklessly, he is going to search for help in the hospital but... his ailments are not easily cured by standard medical treatment, and the hospital is poorly stocked anyway, and thus so far he is not having any luck finding anything. HELP WHERE ARE ALL THE HP RECOVERY ITEMS. DOESNT ANYONE HAVE AN ICE HEAL TYPE ITEM]
A
And this... strange man, who's now erupted into laughter outside but nearby, is a decent enough distraction for him to pull himself away from those bestial instincts and remark-]
And what are you supposed to be...?

edelgard von hresvelg | fe3h (post-silver snow specifically)
A.)
[ Her torso coated in a layer of blood (it's hers!), limply dragging herself out of the hospital, followed by a horrid metallic screech; the jagged sword that was in hand moments before—well. she refuses to put it down, now, and that's the important part. ]
How is this possible...?
[ She does not necessarily mean the strange city and it's equally odd buildings, but maybe also she means that a little. ]
D.)
[ As she is, in fact, still injured, she's gone back to the hospital once some bearings have been found. All of them? A lost cause. Some bearings.
However, it's a building unlike any she's ever been in, though it's reminiscent of those that healers are stationed at... that table she woke up on, however, was all too unmistakable. Very clearly avoiding that room, she's drifting around the hospital, looking in some cabinets and ignoring most of what she sees. The gouge on her—spanning across her chest and like it may have bloomed into her throat at some point—isn't bleeding too thickly now, and she has wrapped it to some degree. ]
Is potionmaking not an art of this city?
d
I've not seen anything that would suggest it either. Strange, isn't it?
